I told you a few weeks ago about my friend that wasn’t sure if she was miscarrying or not. Well, sadly, it turns out she did miscarriage. What’s interesting to me was the responses she got, when people heard.
- “Oh well, it’s nature’s way of making sure that the defective egg was terminated.”
- “You’re better off now, because who knows what was wrong with it?”
- “Don’t cry, it wasn’t even a baby yet?”
I’m sorry, but WHAT? Who could say that to someone? I don’t get it at all. Are people really that insensitive to miscarriages?
Why can’t a mother grieve? A life was lost, and they have a right to be sad.
Please people, remember that this is a sensitive issue and one that can do without this kinds of comments.
